Years of Hands-On Experience

SRG was founded by a team of experienced professionals, all of whom have previously owned and operated successful companies in the recycling industry.

Southeast Recycling Group was formed on January 1, 2025 with the merger of Carolina Metals Group (CMG) and Spartan Recycling Group (Spartan). Both CMG, based in North Carolina, and Spartan, based in South Carolina operated for 10+ years and became leaders in their respective markets. Each company brings three long-time industry veterans to the team with the six owners combining for over 175 years of experience in metal recycling. All began their careers in the 1980s and 1990s and are now working together for the next phase of growth at Southeast Recycling Group.
